Born in 1980, Kenji is the founder of the professional percussion group Gonna in Nagoya, Japan, which performed at the World Expo Aichi in 2005. He became a solo artist in 2006 and since then has performed in various concerts both as a solo percussionist and in collaboration with other musicians all over Japan.  He was also a member of a group of Japanese percussionists selected to perform in China for special concerts celebrating the 35th anniversary of China-Japan diplomatic relations in 2007.  Now he is busy with performing and producing his concerts and teaching many students in his percussion classes. As a member of Wa San Bon, Kenji was invited to perform and teach in Hamilton, NZ in 2008 and 2009, and also in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2012.
